Th e Elders collect money from the dead.
by punkofnice incan't say too much but i here is something i'd like to share.. a relative of mine was an elder and pledged a lot of money to help buy a new kingdom hell in the area.
he died 10 years ago.
only 3 years ago the elders went to his old aged, pensioner widow and asked for the money.

Punk I read some of your past posts, in one on C.Os you mentiond Ray Shaw was a narcissistic personality. This saddened me, because your summination may now be true. However I knew Ray when he attached himself to my congregation as a special pioneer, and he was then a great bloke. ( I also noted he special pioneered with housing accommodation paid with tax payers money, which I felt was wrong, and is proof the organisation is only about money without principal) Anyway Ray's mother was a witness and he wasn't, he was a heavy drinker before he converted. Maybe this is why I have fond memories of Ray, he was still a normalish guy when I knew him.
Anyway to cut a long story short, he got promoted to be a C.O in Leeds, and the last thing he ever said to me was " write me with any good experiences you have in the field service" He was sincere in that, and a good guy. That was the last time Ray and I ever spoke. That is why I was saddened to read your comment, it made me realise how the lndoctrination and promotions in what ever capacity can and will erode away the good guy in us.
I am so pleased I chose happiness to being respected in the " Worldwide" organisation.

Someday our loved ones will leave us or we leave them in death, but the presence will remain in memories of the good times, and in old photos. These are the possessions of true wealth that can't be stolen. However it's a shame that also with death often burgling fingers want what is not their entitlement.
Iam obviously not aware of the widows circumstances, her emotional attachment to the congregation, but if she regrets the circumstances in which she gave money possibly a letter from a solicitor would be advised. To my knowledge a signed pledge is not a legal contract?

For all my searching for love, all my growing up in my heart i will never succum to a love greater than that pen.
Has anybody else ever received a special present?

Why I admire the more risky O.P starters.
by The Rebel instarting an o.p is a challenge.the person who starts the o.p then relies on fellow posters to obtain feedback and hopefully keep the o.p, informative and positive.
so starting an o.p becomes " shared accountabilility" between o.p starter, and thread poster.. some o.p's will be more of a risk factor than others, because some topics are more controversial.
so when i start an o.p i now ask myself what is:-.

First time back in a KH in 8 months
by Normalfulla inso... one of my employees is a miserable servant and was giving the pt and invited me to come knowing full well i was faded out, i go along cos i respect him and thought why not, i must admit i was a little nervous headed back there (a neighboring hall not my old one) i saw alot of familiar faces and some old friends who were aware of my fade, all so pleased to see me at a meeting again and i can sum up how i felt about the experience like this.. .
have you ever been to a party and been the only sober person there and are totally aware of the ridiculous things said and going on?
that's what it felt like except the party would have been more fun of course,... all these good people, drunk off their heads on wt propaganda and false hopes, the irony was the talk was titled "does your life have meaning?".

Normafulla " interesting the talk was titled " Does your life have meaning?"
Actually I have given a lot of thought as to why I felt as a witness I had a meaningful life. I have concluded my life in the Watchtower was meaningful, because I was respected, and active in what I believed in . However a happy life, was more important to me than a meaningful life and being respected. So when I no longer believed, I sacrificed the respect that gave my life meaning and searched for happiness instead. Hope that makes sense?

Wozza " I wonder if you think Randall's O.P is risky and worth your admiration?"
The short answer is NO. But my post, prior to yours, was written to clarify the reasons why I think it crosses the line.

A recent O.P I read trashing a persons reputation with scandal saddened me. Starting such OPs is a very serious matter. We should be working as a team, we have different skills, but we should be on the same team. If the O.P doesnt have the facts, and accusations are presented in an aggressive and out of order way, designed to trash a persons reputation, I feel it is wrong to start such OPs.

Girls are unpredictable, materialist, and use us, men, as a toy - Part 2
by will-be-apostate inwell here am i, a couple of years passed since my original post (link here), somewhat less mysoginistic, more open to relationships, heartbroken again.
this is an official "fuck my life" thread.. being chased by the elders makes one arrive at the conclusion that there is nothing better than not being chased by the elders.
i had a pre-jc meeting a week ago.

I asked my son to stop playing football.
by The Rebel ini asked my son to stop playing football.
it was a simple kick about he was playing with a friend using the garage door as the goal.
i then went to my home and thought no more about it.

Taking my O.P slightly off topic, if you are fortunate and have a garage connected to the house, I would advise calling in the builders and converting the garage in to an extended kitchen, or additional living room space. This will both put value on your property and give you the comfort of more living space, also you will be the envy of all your neighbors.
